In 2009, a family’s passion for authentic Asian flavors sparked something special. From a small office in Mississauga, Ontario—with just one desk and a big dream—Ran Foods began its journey to share the vibrant tastes of Asia with the world.
Our founder, Harry Kim, and his family have always been innovators in the Asian food industry. They opened one of Ottawa’s first sushi restaurants and pioneered bringing ready-to-enjoy bento boxes to grocery stores—long before they became a staple.
Today, Ran Foods remains a family-owned business, staying true to our roots while crafting high-quality, unique products that bring people together. Because great food isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are.

Ran Foods Inc. has been faithfully serving our customer’s needs since its founding in 2009. I take pride in seeing the growth of our small family business in providing high quality Asian consumer products to the Canadian market.
Today, Ran Foods offers product sourcing and development, distribution, quality control, brokering services and marketing solutions focusing on consumer goods sourced from Asia. It is my dream and hope that we are able to create a more united global community through our operations and products.
I am excited for what the future holds in store for our team at Ran Foods. We are looking to expand our product line and market position as a growing leader in Asian Foods products in Canada.
